Photos and Feedback from our "AI - What You Need To Know" DAISI HIVE event at Churchdown, 22nd January 2026
Our DAISI Hive event at Churchdown Community Centre last week brought together more than one hundred volunteers and staff from community organisations across Gloucestershire to share knowledge about how AI can best be used to safely and effectively benefit our communities.
From prompt-writing to AI ethics and cyber security, we explored it all, with an incredible line-up of speakers and exhibitors. The feedback from the event participants was positive and enthusiastic:
‘The demonstration of practical AI usage was clever, clearly delivered, and impactful.’
‘Seeing a focus on ethical and safe applications of AI was appreciated. The presenters, even those who couldn't make it in person, covered interesting topics and made their points well.’
‘Overall, brilliant day out and networking opportunity. Perfectly accessible and accommodating. Have downloaded the App, and will look forward to the next one!’
‘As someone who is not very good with IT or technology I found the presentations to be accessible , enjoyable and informative.’
‘Excellent opportunity to meet other service providers, businesses, and community leaders, who we can look forward to working with.’
‘The food was great and it was topped up regularly. The people at the stands were engaging and good communicators and the app demo for the DAISI app was quite good too.’

The event also saw the launch of our DAISI app , which brings together all our resources, guides, and a map of locations, days and opening times of our DAISI digital support drop-ins across Gloucestershire.
