Place-Based Community-Led Planning
- What are the issues that are important to your community?
- How can you create equality of voice to co-design the future of your community?
- How can you influence wider decision making, empowering the voice of your community?
A community-led plan is developed by the local community, usually facilitated by a town or parish council, using consultation techniques with residents to identify issues and priorities for the local area. The plan will set out a vision for the community and identify what needs to be done to achieve that vision.
There are different types of community-led plans for different purposes. GRCC can help you to consider these options and explain the processes involved. These can include
- Community Climate Change Action Plans
- Community Resilience - emergency planning
- Parish Plans
- Neighbourhood Priorities Statements – including identifying important local green spaces
- Neighbourhood Development Plans
- Parish Priorities – assessment of your local infrastructure needs
