About the Role

Do you want to help communities secure the affordable homes they need to thrive?

We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic, and community-focused Rural Affordable Housing Project Officer to help rural communities identify and deliver affordable housing solutions that meet local needs.

Working with communities, parish and town councils, landowners, housing providers, and public sector partners, including Homes England, you will help turn local housing aspirations into deliverable projects by identifying needs and potential sites, exploring funding and development options, and building partnerships.

Knowledge of planning, community engagement, housing finance, development appraisals, or community-led housing would be an advantage. We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds, including the community, voluntary, housing, planning, and property sectors.

This is an opportunity to develop your skills while making a tangible difference to rural communities and helping create affordable homes and sustainable places to live and work.

If this sounds like the role for you, we would love to hear from you.
