Digital & Technology Navigator (Tewkesbury Borough)

Closing date for applications: 5p.m. on Friday, 12 June 2026

Interviews are scheduled for 17, 19, and 22 June 2026

We cannot escape the digital world and need to be digitally able in order to easily access essential services, stay connected, and remain independent.

GRCC is looking to recruit a Digital and Technology Navigator for Tewkesbury Borough. This vital role is about empowering individuals in the community through digital literacy, from the very basics to helping them to access vital services, support, and social connections; particularly those most vulnerable and isolated.

We're looking for someone who is patient, enjoys working with people at their own pace, and making a real difference to their lives. This role is about helping individuals to feel confident using digital tools so they can access services, stay connected, and carry on doing the things that matter to them.

The Role

You will:

  • provide friendly, one-to-one support through local drop-ins and referrals;
  • take time to understand each individual and support them step by step;
  • build relationships with local partners to improve access to digital support;
  • champion digital equity across Tewkesbury Borough.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is patient, approachable, and can actively listen;
  • enjoys working with people from different backgrounds;
  • can engage individuals and build trust easily across all levels of the community and organisations;
  • focuses on empowering people to build their own confidence and skills;
  • has experience in community-based work or similar settings (helpful, not essential).

You don't need to be highly technical; this role is about people, not IT expertise.

Why You?

You'll support people who may feel excluded or left behind to gain confidence and independence. By taking the time to listen and guide them, you'll help individuals achieve things they may not have thought possible, making a real, lasting difference to their lives.
