This project addresses digital poverty and digital exclusion by giving refurbished devices such as phones, laptops, desktops, and tablets directly to people in Gloucestershire who are cut off from the digital world by financial barriers.

We can help people in lots of different situations - people on benefits, people relying on food banks, people fleeing domestic abuse, people who are seeking work, people in training or education, and many more. We can also supply refurbished digital devices to small Gloucestershire charities and community organisations who need them to carry out their work, through our ACORN Project.

We collect used digital devices at drop-off points throughout Gloucestershire, many of which are also our DAISI digital support drop-ins. We then securely wipe the data from the devices, and test and refurbish them, ready to be given to a new owner in digital need.

We collect laptops, desktops, smartphones, basic phones, chargers, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers and many other kinds of digital device. If you have IT equipment you'd like to re-home, do get in touch with us - email digital@grcc.org.uk or call our digital triage phone line, 07454 066116.

Small individual donations and large amounts of IT equipment from organisations are equally welcome!

Whether we can give you a device will depend on the details of your circumstances, and our stock levels, but we do aim to support as many people as we can.
